Dear All;
Kindly inform what is the acceptable Gauss value (Magnetism in G values) of different components of Turbomachinery. This includes Bearings, Rotor Journals, Couplings, Rotor Blades, Casings.
What I have studied is max allowable Gauss reading at Bearings (Journal and Thrust) and Shaft Journal Areas is +/- 3G. However, if we move away from Bearings i-e near Coupling, Rotor Blades, Seals etc the higher values are also acceptable but donot know the values.
If anyone can help me in this.
