Table 1-1. T is tabulated just to the right of k1 but it does not equal d-2*k. Am I missing something? For a W33x118, T is tabulated as 29.625 but d-2*k=31.45"

Can I use the 31.45" for the length of a single plate shear plate?

For a W33:
(based on the detailing numbers)
d = 32.875
k = 1.625
T = 29.625

d - 2k = 29.625

(based on the design numbers:
d = 32.9
k = 1.44
T = 29.625

d - 2k = 30.02

So for an "exact" T you could use 30.02.
For a "detailing" T (safer - uses more rough numbers) you would use the given 29.625.
