Hi :

I am trying to check the strength of fail safe chord of a aircraft frame. I know the axial load on the skin creates moment on the frame. But I want to know what are the loads and moment acting on the inner and failsafe chord.

thanks

see your FEM results ...

not a helpfull answer, i know, but geez no-one can answer the question sensibly.

Sensibly the fail-safe chord is designed by limit loads for the failed structure cases, but somehow i don't think that'll help you either.

good luck
