I have some questions about Air scouring of pipes for removal of scale, etc. Can anyone recommend a good description / reference for how to accomplish this? I gather that it is the injection of compressed air into the water supply to create more turbulence to loosen the crud off the pipes.
Can this be used to clean residential carbon steel water supply piping? (instead of expensive re-piping with copper?)
I would expect that you want as much water velocity as possible but how much air/water? What pressure? Continuous or intermittent?
Thanks,
