I am designing an Air Lift Pump: a submerged pipe that has an outside source of compressed air introduced in order to raise the working fluid using buoyancy and expansion effects. I have found some technical resources, which have been fairly useful but I was wondering if anyone had any practical experience or some tips for working with these devices.

Thanks to all.

This is a very common technique in Oil wells and uses high-pressure gas to lift liquids (it is called, oddly enough, Gas Lift). You might ask your question in Petroleum Productin Engineering or do a Google search for "Gas Lift" and ignore all the chair makers that use that term for their chair positioner.
