Hi All,

I've been trying to run some SOL146 NASTRAN runs for discrete and continuous gusts. The bdf's I've been using are known to have worked on MSC NASTRAN 2001 and work on 2007 too, but I have 2005 and I get an 'insufficient core... 6136' error.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Henry

Problem solved, it's all to do with the buffer size set during installation. This can be solved after installation though:

1 - Go to the drive where Nastran is installed (eg C:\)
2 - Go to C:\MSC.Software\MSC.Nastran\conf
3 - Open up NAST20051.rcf
4 - Put a big number next to Buffsize= - to solve the above problem, increase the number by the amount of requested lines.
5 - Submit your run again and it should work. If not, the number of lines to increase by should have gone down, so go back and increase the Buffsize again.
