Adequate Compaction of Asphalt Paving over Pervious 57 Gravel Base

I am attempting to achieve acceptable compaction of asphalt base over 57 gravel base. Past Forum in 2010 discussed issues of lack of cohesion without fines in the 57 gravel. I am searching for an additional component of the gravel / asphalt paving to stabilize the overall paving system similar to the issue raised in the 2010 dialogue (See CJ4+Ron+BigH)
