Hi everybody, I'm doing a SRS analysis using the SOL112 as described by Nastran Advanced Dynamic Analysis Guide. But I would like to add some static load to the structure, that basically is preloaded, to have a better estimate of the stress in the structure.
I've already estimated the effect of this preload on the normal modes of the structure, and it is small in term of normal modes variations, but the stresses introduced by the preloads have to be considered.
Insted of combining through processing the result of two analysis: static (for the preload) and transient (for the SRS) and simply combining the two stress outputs I'd like to directly add the static loads to the .bdf that I'm preparing for the SRS analysis.
Has anyone of you ever done something similar? Any tips? Helps? Any idea on how to add correctly static load to a bdf modified according to Nastran Adv Dyn An Guide for SRS?
Thanks in advance to anyone will help me in doing this.
Ned
