Hi,

I have two objects that contact each other. When I have contact, I get an error that there are two improperly defined surfaces (there are only tow) and to check the normals.

Normals have all been checked and verified to be in the same outward positive direction.

Also, each object will run on its own simulation with no errors. And when both objects are present in the same assembly and job there are no errors.

But when I introduce the contact I get the improper surface definition error.

Could it be that the "Penalty" constraint is causing this?

What about using general contact versus surface <-> surface?

Thanks,

PJ
