Can you get an adapter for a 3 pin Hirschmann type plug to allow 3/4" NPT conduit to be fitted on a solenoid valve?

Thanks

You can definitely get NPT adapters for the MIL-C-5015 series although it is a little larger than the smaller Hirschmann connectors.

I haven't seen NPT adapters for the Hirschmann stuff but NPT isn't so common over in Europe on electrical fittings. You can likely get one manufactured fairly easily though by any half-decent jobbing machine shop.

BTW, have you looked at Lemo as an alternative to Hirschmann - very similar in price, quality, etc. Both are very good.

This plug is on a solenoid valve, is their any other way that would allow 3/4" NPT to be fitted?
Thanks

3/4" NPT is a massive entry for a solenoid valve. If the entry is about 2/4" diameter then it's probably 1/2" NPT.

Are you tied to Hirschmann? Which series of connector? The commercialised military types I referenced above are fairly popular for things like solenoids, servo-valves and the like in power generation, steel, those sort of environments. Not much use for hazardous areas, but excellent otherwise. You might find the beautifully-engineered Hirschmann or Lemo type connectors don't like the rough & tumble in an industrial facility, if that's where your valve is located.

If the entry is about 3/4" diameter then it's probably 1/2" NPT. Wish we had an edit function!
