Adams Machinery - transition velocity parameter - toothed belt simulation

Hello, how does Adams Machinery calculate transition velocity parameter for toothed belt simulation and what is the unit, mm/sec? The initial setting "100" is confusing to me. Maybe it should be around "0.1"?
