Our new company is going to provide commissioning tests of equipment (primary and secondary) on new power electric switchgears. In the recent years it was implemented here a requirement that such companies must be accredited as "control body" (sorry if translation is not very correct). Acreditation procedures are similar in general to these for ISO 9001, but more detailzed.
My question is: Are there similar requirements in other EU countries/USA/Canada and in what extent regarding the scope of works?

It may be like this in theory and practice, but in real life it is completely different.
