For large diameter threads such as 6" and up, is there a norm for TPI on these diameters? Which TPI gives the greater strength?

My googling has netted me very little to answer your question. I've seen one company ( selling a 6" diameter thread (1.5" TPI) but I don't know that it is a "norm". Otherwise I see nothing but 5" at the upper end elsewhere.

If it's specified anywhere, I'd imagine it's in ASME B1.5 which I don't have, sorry.

OK. thank's anyway...;) I guess I just base it on premium threads like Vam Top or similar in that dimension...
