I've known people who take the exact opposite approach - write down nothing. If it's not in writing it can't be used against you.

I don't know what a doomsday file is? I can guess, but what is it? Cheers,

Best not to tell anyone (forum included) if you keep private notes...

The doomsday file is a file compiled by managers to reinforce actions against employees. It contains all the negative information about your performance.
