Can anyone tell me where to find some example calculations for concrete bridge abutment on spread footings with precast box beams and no approach slab

Why no approach slab in the design? The lack of it, with any potential settlement of the approach, will increase the impact to the abutment design and the potential for erosion behind the abutment.
