Did somebody ever used [austempered ductile iron for] fabricating balls for crushing clinker in cement industry?

For crushing clinker in cement mills high chrome irons or Ni Hard cast irons are popular. The wear rate is dependent not only on the hardness but also the presence of chromium carbide particles which enhance the life. In austempered ductile iron the absence of this M27C3 types of carbide particle would restrict its use as a candidate material. Low alloy steels in normalised& tempered condition or Q&T conditions are also used. But their life is low. However, in wet grinding operations you can still try ADI as HWCI is found to wear out faster.
