Hello All,

For a Piping project ( flluid inside piping is HC drain,2 bar) i have RF flanges serrated finish face (125-250 AARH) and valves with RF smooth finish (125-250 AARH) flanges. To supply leakproofing for no leakage should i use spiral wound gaskets?

Thanks for Your time.

Kindly regards

IMO, the spiral wound gasket is generally fine for the HC drain service at 2 barg. Per ASME section VIII, the gasket seating width of the spiral wound gasket is the same for the flanges of either serrated or non-serrated surfaces. Suggest to order the spiral wound gasket with both inner and outer rings.
