Hello everyone! I have one question regarding spring and dashpot modelling by Gazetas method. My foundation is raft and it has a depth of 0.5m . I have used multilinear link for modelling of springs and dashpot. But I have one doubt on the length of a link. Lets say if I use link element under the base of a column until the foundation end wouldn't it be too long and wouldn't it affect stiffness and everything? I really need help me in this regard for my thesis. How do we exactly use link element to model SSI in SAP?
