Hello everyone. My advisor asked me to complete a simulation of Abaqus about semi-flexible pavement, which I find difficult. Now, I was caught in how to set the temperature field in this software. Is it necessary to import any other program in this situation? I hope there are anyone could teach me about this. THANK YOU

If it's a mechanical analysis (without temperature degrees of freedom), you can use the Predefined Fields feature to prescribe temperature to the model in the analysis step. If it's a coupled thermo-mechanical analysis (with temperature DOFs), you can only define an initial temperature this way or apply a boundary condition of temperature type.
