about pattern a cut feature!(how to contral the boundary?)

dear all:

i want to pattern a cut feature. and i need to limit it in a circular curve which is in a part surface. i constain the cut feature'boundaris to the circular curve. and then, i used pattern\general to pattern this cut feature. when is input the number of the cut feature at 9, it's ok! but at 10,it is appear the following:

{FEATURE #17 (CUT), PART PATTERN_QUSETION,

failed regeneration.

Feature aborted because section entities overlap. }

but why? can anybody tell me how to do it?

i try to do it again. i found that when i use a elliptical curve,it is wrong.it can not through the elliptical curve's tiptop.but other curve is ok!

can you try to creat it?
