about lifts

i would like to know if the dc motor still used as drive for lifts .with detailed comment if u please .

i wonder why none want to answear this question ,however for me it seems not simple ,because all lifts that i have seen was in as.motor(squirel)with 2speed but these was for 9 floors only and i want to calculate for 23 floors ,in this case ,do the as.motor remain valid for this purpose .wait for an understanding help.

etc. for more info. It appears that the dc lift propulsion is declining. The dc brushless motors are somewhat behind the ac motors when it comes to overall attractiveness for the application.
