Hello All,

Could anyone help point me in the direction of Property -> Optional parameters -> Softening (see image attached). I'd like to model strain softening on a model and believe from reading, this is the best approach but can't seem to find this on the ABAQUS interface. I would appreciate other guidance if there are better approaches too.

Many thanks,

This part of the documentation apparently refers to the *DAMAGE EVOLUTION keyword. There are several types and subtypes of damage criteria but if you go to the material editor and select e.g. Mechanical —> Damage for Ductile Metals —> Ductile damage then you should find the Suboptions button and it will reveal the Damage Evolution tab. There you can change the softening definition.
