I am using ABAQUS to simulate undrained test (strain/displacement control).
I do not know if using two steps only : GEOSTATIC step followed by SOIL (consolidation) step which spans over short time (say 1 sec) at which the prescribed displacemnet is applaied. Or Should one use thress steps (GEOSTATIC , STATIC(where the prescribed displacement is applied)folowed by CONSOLIDATION. Anybody has experience in simulating undrained test using ABAQUS
