hi
i am running a time history analysis for a 20 storey steel structure in abaqus but the analysis is aborted giving the error "constraints and connectors are not allowed at nodes with anisotropic mass"
i am just wondering how to fix this?
also my time period for the model comes out to be 4.61secs. where i need to use this during the analysis process?

Do you have point masses (*MASS) with anisotropic mass in your model ?

i have applied the load on the exterior and interior columns . This is a 2D model

Ok but what about the features mentioned in the error message - constraints, connectors and point masses ? Do you use them ? If yes, how are they defined ?

i didnt use any constraints and connectors but i use anisotropic mass at nodes

Is it really necessary in your model ? What else is applied to those nodes ? Boundary conditions ? Anything else ?
