Hi,
I am currently working on a Coupled-Eulerian-Lagrange (CEL) simulation in Abaqus. The simulation is running fine so far, but now I want make a new simulation with the same model where I import the material distribution within the Eulerian mesh as initial condition. I want to start the new simulation from the point where the old one ended, but with a new material model for the material within the Eulerian mesh.
The way I tried to do this is by importing the (deformed) parts from the odb file of the first simulation into the new model. Then I used the keyword "*Initial conditions" to import the material distribution within the Eulerian mesh:
*initialconditions, type=VOLUMEFRACTION, file=finished_simulation.odb, step=1
However, when I do it like this I get the following error:
***ERROR: OUTPUT DATABASE CAN ONLY BE USED WITH TYPE=TEMPERATURE, TYPE=FIELD,
TYPE=STRESS, TYPE=VOIDR, OR TYPE=PORE PRESSURE.
Is there any way to work around this? I also looked into the restart option of Abaqus, but this doesn't seem to work when I change a material model.
Any help is appreciated!
Many thanks,
Fel
