Any one know if a simple RS422/485 to RS232 would work to conect Ch0 of a slc5/05 to a 1747-AIC.

I don't know . Try it. If it does not work, there are Allen Bradley alternatives.

Try a 1761-NET-AIC instead of the 1747-AIC for you DH485 interface. It has 2 x RS232 ports on it. 1 DIN, 1 9pin D. This is the usual method for 5/05 to DH485.

Or you can use a 1747-PIC to interface from the SLC RS232 port to the 1747-AIC.

rubna,

That will work to a 1761-NET-AIC, which is why I suggested it.

It will not work to a 1747-AIC, as it has an RJ45 RS485 to DH485 interface. Therefore you need to convert RS232 D9, to RS485 RJ45.

Changing the config to 485 is still RS232, but in DH485 protocol. You still need to interface between the two.
