Hi All,
I just heard from a customer of ours that has been having multiple 1747-aic failures. This system links SLC501 to AIC 1 then straight to AIC 2 and out to the PV550's dh-485 port. More often than not, it is the coupler on the PV550's end that fails. I have them checking grounding and power supplies at this time. I also mentioned that they may try swapping the PV out. They had originally been taking replacement AIC's from some unused systems but they have tried new units as well. New ones last about a month...Does anybody have any ideas about why all of a sudden these beasties are failing? PS: They are not connected to anything external to the machine.
Thanks,
Scott
