7075 T73 9" OD extruded forged

I need to procure 7075 T73 9" OD. I have noticed some extrusion specs like ASTM B221 don't specify mech props beyond 4.5". Should I specify open die forging instead of extrusion to get the size I need with consistent properties?

Why should you be concerned how it is done as long as you get the properties, 7075 T73, you specify?

Availability of the product in that form. That tells me then if I need to specify a forging spec instead of an extrusion spec.
