Could anyone provide any info or published data on the yield strength of 6063-T5 at elevetated temps. I came across a chart that indicated that the yield strength of 6061-T6 at 200°C was ~80% of RT values after 30 min exposure. What about 6063? and at longer exposures? I looked in MIL-HDBK-5H and didn't find anything.

Depending on tolerances our FEA analysis indicates the max stresses (vonMises)on our design will range from about 8ksi to 15ksi. I would like to know what the yield strength is when the material is exposed to 150°C - 300°C for 8+ hours.

Thanks

Data from ASM Handbook Volume 2 for exposures up to 10 000 h:

Temp ([°] C) UTS (MPa) YS (MPa)
---------- -------- --------
24 186 145
100 165 138
149 138 124
204 62 45
260 31 24
316 23 17
