Right now we use a 600 KVA Diesel Generator capable of putting out 1443 amps. The unit operates a single 350 HP motor, a single 75 HP motor, and several other smaller HP motors and axillary equipment. The biggest issue is the amp draw, and this force us into using a 600+ unit.

My problem is we are being forced to move away from the diesel generator towards a LPG generator. What are some good options? I haven't seen anything capable of putting out that amperage, will I need to get several units?

There are a number of manufacturers that can supply an engine sized to run on LPG and provide the power you need. Just be aware the cost per kW will significantly higher. Propane will require a lower compression ratio, meaning you'll need more displacement to get the same power.

CAT, Cummins, Wakausha, MAN to name a few.
