-58 deg F structural steel

Does anyone have any reservations / tips / cautions for a structural steel stand that will be shop welded but then placed into service in an environment (outside) that was given a design temperature of -58 deg F (-50 deg C)?

If it was ASME we would be talking impact testing, etc. Is there anything in AWS or AISC about this situation?

See Chapter 12-3 in the link below for some generalized tips...

Also look under the Supplementary Requirements of your ASTM structural material. When you order for structural steel, you need to specify if you want a Charpy V-Notch Impact Test (designated as S5). ASTM A673 covers the procedure for this impact test on structural steel.
