420F stainless steel 1

Does anyone out there have any experience with 420F?
What are its advantages over 300 series stainless?
I understand that there aren't many mills state-side that will produce it

Information on 420F is summarized on the final page. Re 420F vs. 300 series. 420F is much better in machinability, cheaper (no Ni & lower Cr), but much poorer w.r.t. corrosion. 420F is probably worse in corrosion resistance than about all other SS except for 420FSe, 440C & 440CF.
