Can anyone give a brief explanation as to why there is such a price difference between a 4160v vs 13.2kv TEAAC 3600 rpm 5000hp Induction Motor? Also the Frame size is the same. What's the driving force which accounts for $500k vs $700k? Physical components which would account for this difference? Thanks in advance.

I'm actually a little surprised at this cost differential in this size range. I'd expect the the 13.2 kV motors to be somewhate more expensive at 5000 hp, but not 40% more.

I designed a very large pump station that used 13.2 kV 3000 hp motors because there were so many of them. There was a price penalty at 13.2 kV, but it was nowhere near this much.

But you do have to look at total system costs, not just the motors.

6900 V is another alternative.
