3D systems aquires Geomagic now using Geomagic name for Alibre 2013

After aquiring Geomagic, 3D systems is now using the Geomagic name for what was Alibre.
Should this forum now be named "Geomagic" instead of Alibre?

If it would be renamed, I would think it would be Geomagic Design as there are numerous products under the Geomagic label.

Well I upgraded to 2013 this week, its good news bad news. It has better functionallity for some things I do. It has some bugs in peripherals like Its PDF creator, and in pointers to open DWG and DXF files which worked fine in the old version and give problems now.
Geomagic say they know about it and the issues will be fixed in the next service pack. well I am waiting.

Well thanks to some help on the Geomagic forum , I now have the registry issues fixed, and can open DWG and DXF files direct in Geomagic 2013.

So not so good response from the Geomagic team then? I was hoping the support would not be an issue with the ownership change.

It would appear that support is ovewhelmed right now with the changeover. Two hour hold times for support and leave a message seem to be the norm right now.
As everybody gets upgraded, and the issues come to light, and get cleaned up, I am sure it will get better. Solidworks had some of these issues a few years ago and they got over it.
