I have started dealing with a new company whom work with AutoCAD, they have requested my models in a 3d dxf, I have experience with saving SW drawings as dxf but not the models, as I don’t have the option when saving.

So my question is how can I get my SW models into a 2d dxf?

Thanks

I think they "really" want ACIS(.sat) files... get some clarification from your client.

I don't see DXF as a possibility with a SAVE AS from a part file... but I've had success with ACIS(.sat) files... 2 employers ago.

You may have to try different versions under the OPTIONS button... in the SAVE AS dialog box.

They probably want IGES files, best to clarify.
