3d ducting to 2d layouts

i am looking for a ducting program in which you draw 3d parts, then in turn output 2d profiles which can be cut, then either broke, or rolled into the part. i have found a couple but they are going for $2000-3000 U.S. It especially buggs me when the program is free but its the password that costs the money.
