hello everybody,
in the attched file, there is mechanism assembly with a cam.
the cam is not working correctly becaus it should follow the cut trajectory and should not interfere.
playing the analysis, you will see what happen.
how can we define such movment?
thanks.

A better way to do this might be to create a slot connection between the cam_motor and the cam. See the attachment.

A cam pair will only operate in 2D. Both the cam and follower must be made from geometry that is extruded in one, and the same, direction. You will need to use a slot-follower to generate the motion you want. A 3D contact pair may work if you provide the proper geometry "tricks" to create a Hertzian contact situation.

thanks lairdj, I thought to this solution.
I agree with kaz z06..it will be possible for an hertzian or sinusoidal shape
