300WA and 350WA

Hi, can anybody advise me on the following question.
Can you qualify a welding procedure with 350WA to weld 300WA material?? (this material [300WA] was used on an ASME vessel and it is considered as unassigned) I know that 350WA is a better material (higher mechanical properties) and has replaced 300WA.
