3 button mouse

Someone that knows catia suggested to me that I should get a 3 button mouse. Does anybody know what the advantage would be?
 
The 3-button mouse is recommended for CATIA V5 use. The middle button is used to manipulate the CATIA image (center, drag, zoom and rotate), which is much easier than using the viewing icons.

Of course, a Logitech spaceball or spacemouse is even better.

I ended up getting a space navigator
 
Keyboard shortcuts

Is there any way to assign the middle/right button combination to a key on keyboard?
