Hi,
I need to 2d sketch on a drawing (drafting) sheet and constrain it to the view elements and add some dimensions. How could I do it?

The idea is to show sliding distance of a CAM in the drawing.

I just attached this drawing (see below) to another post, but it might be useful here as well.

John, I had tried "Sketch on Sheet..". But couldn't constrain the way I requested. when the view moves, I want the sketch to move with the view.

Don't use any views, just treat the Drawing sheet as one big sketch view, like I did in the example Drawing.

Sorry I may have not clear enough. I agree, I could add constrains inside the sketch but not to an existing view’s elements.

I've a cross section view and I want to show cam operation/timing diagram. i.e. the distances of driver movement, cam/punch movement, die movement etc. and show parametrically the resultant value. For this, my Sketch on Sheet should follow and align (add constrains) to the view’s elements.

I found old Thread requesting the same functionality where John had replied too.

Thanks to GTAC support I got the answer.

RBM the view and select "Active Sketch View" and start sketching. Then could add constrains to the view model geometry and to the new sketch.
