Does anybody know what this steel is like to turn or have an idea of a steel that would have similar properties?
(Automotive forging application)

25CrMo4 (1.7218) according to EN 10083-1 is similar to SAE 4130. The machining properties will be very dependent on the microstructure and hardness. Is the forging quenched & tempered prior to machining? Normalized?
