I have a aosmith or century motor that I wish to rewind. I have never done this and wish some pointers. This motor has 24 slots for windings. One set of winding for high speed and another set of winding for low speed. One set of windings for high spd starting circuit, and another set of windings for low starting. Two capacitors 64-77 uf and 35uf. So I believe 4poles for 1800rpm & 2 poles for 3600rpm. I can pull the coils out to count the windings, wonder if some one has a diagram that shows how the coils are placed in the slots, and if they are series or parallel...so need wiring hookup. I know high & low speed coils are connected at one end L1, the other ends goto L2(high) & A(low) with L1 being common and high & low starting windings are connected to the centrifugal switch at one end, then to L!, and the other ends go to each capacitor(one to L2 & one to A).
Also maybe someone has a source for the insulation paper and bamboo sticks for the slots. Winding wire gauge is 16 & 21ga.

It is obvious that you cannot do it on your own.
Take it to a service center that deals with such matters
