Greetings,

Does anyone know if UG has the option to place 2-D Label Matrix on a plane or surface? And then that data can be used for machining?

Thanks,

Brent

Can you explain this question ?
what is a 2D label matrix ?

Regards,
Tomas

Tomas,

Attached is a pic that shows what a 2-D matrix looks like. A scanner, including your phone can scan the image and get data from it. I was hoping someone has experience with placing this in a model for UG.

Thanks,

Brent

do you want to use this as a image (Jpeg/png etc) or do you want to mill it in to the surface ?
there is also a relatively new feature in NX which can deform a face using a raster image. ( i have no personal experience of this)

I have used Inkscape ( and the nice tutorial that Anthony Galante provided to vectorize raster data.

Regards,
Tomas

Tomas,

We want to mill it in to the surface. The jpeg image was just for reference. That image would not be clear enough. I will check your inkscape.org link out. Thank you for helping.
