I'm trying to set up a parametrically editable FEA model to analyse one of our common design queries.

The model can be simplified to beams elastically bending in response to load from other beams so the simplest set up seemed to be using 1D elements. However the alignment of the 1D elements I'm using are inconsistent in x, y and z orientation despite using the same creation method.

Does anyone have any idea how I can solve this?
