1746-BAS M1 File Reading to the PLC

We are trying to read data from a York Chiller serial printer port that I have captured in an Allen-Bradley SLC Basic Module Serial port. We've parsed the data into its integer values, but am having trouble with the M1 File handshaking to read it in the SLC5/03 PLC. Does anyone have example logic reading the M1 File in a SLC?
