I am a member of a club that uses 12 volt DC motors to put in toy tractors that we pull a sled with wieghts on it down a track. We have a modified class and I am looking for tips on rewrapping armetures to get more power out of them. Any help would be welcome.

the maximum power transfer is basic rule in electrical engineering. the main idea is making same inpedance between to linking system. this means Z=R+iX in i=sqr(-1)
if your system DC, reaktance X=0 and Z=R (resistance)
between mecahical systems you should calculate stablety moment (I) of machanical system and sellect correct motor resisrtance for optimisation.
