Is there a fuse not normally seen in North America that would be used on 1000VAC motors? The only options I'm finding are 1000VAC rated semiconductor fuses or the 3" diameter x 10" long, 2400VAC, R-rated motor fuses.

1000VAC Motor Fuses

I'm not sure - never seen a 1000 V motor, but you might want to call these guys:
European 'NH' pattern fuselinks are available with a 1000V rating, some reaching up to 1500V or so. Here's Siba's catalogue for a starter:

Older Joy mining machines (and a lot of similar ilk) are 1000V. An ex-employer of mine used to make soft starter controllers for Joy, we used the Siba fuses because there was no room for R type 2400V fuses.
