1.5 MVA blowing rectifier diodes

1.5 MVA generator is blowing diodes on the rotating rectifier and tripping off because of a ground fault. Only about 30% load. Any ideas. Sorry don't have more info.

Ground fault where ? Generator rotor winding ? RR assembly ? Single ground fault or double ?

After you find and repair the ground fault, the unit may stop blowing diodes.
