1/2hp motor wire ampacity 1

I have the 2008 NEC and cannot find the required wire size for a 1/2HP 24VDC motor, FLA=20A. I've been pinballing around as it tells me to...in a hurry as always...the tables it sends me to are all for ac voltages..

430.22 sends me to 430.6(A)(1), which sends me to tables 430.247-250, which are all ac motors...??

Did you see the Exception note under (A)general in 430.22 if not read that, otherwise Amps AC or DC same thing.
