ônn.xlsö format into AutoCAD 2002 problems

I was trying to Edit-Paste-Special some excel spreadsheets panels “nn.xls” format into AutoCAD 2002 but it no longer has this "Edit-Paste-Special" as “AutoCAD entity” feature! Rather as “edit-paste-special” as “%PRODUCT entity type” which does not work with my excel spreadsheets.
What do you do now to insert spreadsheets as “usable text” e.g. “not a picture-real modifiable text”, anyone out there with a solution? Thanks.

You could select text in Word or a range of cells in Excel , copy to clipoard, then within an Acad Multiline text window, you paste it (Ctrl v). I've just tried it with this text and with a small Excel example, and both work nicely.
